Dr. Theresa is a dual-qualified dentist, graduating with Merit in Dentistry from the University of Bristol and with Honours in Medicine from the University of Southampton. With a unique background combining both medical and dental expertise, Dr. Theresa brings a holistic approach to patient care, drawing on her seven years of experience as a doctor, including a year spent in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit. There, she managed complex cases involving dental trauma and head and neck cancer, which has deepened her understanding of both dental and general health.

As a skilled general dentist, Theresa can complete a wide range of services, including root canal therapy, composite restorations, extractions, crown and bridgework, and dentures. She has further enhanced her expertise through training in aligner therapy with InvisalignGo and composite restorations, ensuring her patients receive the highest standard of care.

Practice Coordinator

Amber began her career in the spa industry, starting on the front-of-house team at a prestigious 5-star spa, and quickly advancing to management. Looking to use her skills to help others, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry. With a deep passion for wellness, she has cultivated expertise in creating exceptional experiences for patients. A local to the Thornbury area, Amber is dedicated to promoting holistic health and well-being, with a special interest in reflexology and sound baths. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, always seeking balance and harmony in all aspects of her life.

Dental Nurse

Chelsie is a dedicated Dental Nurse with 6 years of experience in the field. She began her journey in dentistry as an apprentice and qualified as an experienced dental nurse in 2021. Chelsie finds the most fulfilment in providing comfort to patients and witnessing the positive impact that dental care has on their self-esteem.

At home, Chelsie’s life is filled with energy as she cares for her two young boys and a lively Labrador puppy. She loves outdoor activities, and creating lasting memories with her family, and can’t start her day without a good cup of coffee. When not at work, she spends her time going on long walks with her children and puppy and exploring local parks. Chelsie is also busy planning her wedding, which is set for early next year.

Rosie has been working in dentistry for 18 months, gaining valuable experience and knowledge along the way. Before relocating to South Gloucestershire, she worked in Cheltenham, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care and dental procedures. Rosie is particularly passionate about surgical dentistry and looks forward to qualifying as a dental nurse in the near future. In her spare time, Rosie enjoys reading, spending quality time with her friends and family, and helping out on the family farm where she lives.

Sam’s interest in dentistry began at the age of five when his father opened a dental laboratory. Since then, he has developed a strong passion for the field, particularly in dentures. With nearly 18 years of experience as a Dental Technician and 10 years as the owner of his own laboratory, Sam has built a solid foundation in both the technical and practical aspects of dental work.

In 2021, Sam made the decision to return to university to train as a Clinical Dental Technician. This allowed him to work directly with patients and provide high-quality care by combining both clinical and technical skills in denture creation and fitting.

Sam joined TDWC shortly after the practice opened and has since become an integral part of the team. He is results-driven and takes pride in seeing his work come to life, especially when it transforms his patients’ smiles. His dedication to working closely with patients ensures they receive the smile they want—and deserve.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending quality time with his family. He has a keen interest in cars and motorsport and also enjoys playing football.

Rippon qualified from the prestigious Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London in 2003. She had an interest in surgery and this led to her spending 10 years training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She spent 5 years as a Specialty Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in various hospitals in the South East including Royal London Hospital, where she was also a Honorary Clinical lecturer and involved in undergraduate dental training. Through Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Rippon’s interest in jaw surgery, this led her path to specialising in Orthodontics. She undertook higher Specialist Post Graduate Training in Orthodontics at Birmingham Dental Hospital and Worcestershire Royal Hospital. In her spare time, Rippon is kept busy with her young dog and enjoys exploring the Cotswolds with him and will happily show you many adorable photos of him.
